Middle School is indeed a time of adventure. As your school counselor, I am available to help you navigate your way through the year. You may be wondering how I can be of assistance. Along with individual counseling and group counseling sessions, I am also available for consultation. You may also see me visiting each classroom throughout the year as I come in and teach important guidance lessons. Here are just a few areas where I can lend a helping hand: School Success, Relationships, Conflicts, Careers, Communication Skills, Grief, Decision-Making, Study Skills, and many more…! The Oakridge Middle School Counseling Program is for all students. This program is comprehensive in nature and deals with a wide variety of issues. These topics include, but are not limited to, Academic Success (priority at OMS), Anti-Bullying, Character Education, College and Career Readiness, Social/Emotional, and Technology Safety. In addition, this program caters and meets students where they are developmentally. The OMS School Counseling Program is preventive-based and aims to give students the skills they need before trouble hits. Finally, this program is data driven and relies on feedback as well as evaluations in order to help students become successful, productive members of society.
